About Dr Peter Massalski
Dr Peter R. Massalski was a plant virologist who worked in the Virology Department of the Scottish Crop Research Institute (SCRI).
His research made important contributions to understanding plant viruses, particularly their transmission, detection and identification. He was among the first scientists at SCRI to apply monoclonal antibody technology to plant virus research.
