Following the Scottish Government's decision to seek an opt-out from the field-scale trialling of GM technologies, the Committee of Management took the decision to add SSCR's name to the Sense about Science letter to Richard Lochhead.
In addition, the Committee decided to write its own letter to fully reflect the diversity of views expressed by the Society's membership.
